Lucinda Sugar Loader

Lucinda jetty
5.7km long fish attracting device (F.A.D.)
The Lucinda Sugar Loader is the longest continuous conveyor in the southern hemisphere - hundreds of pylons forming habitat for baitfish and predators alike.

At the end of the conveyor tidal flows form boils and turbulence - this is a prime area for large fingermark (spot scale seaperch).   Pelagic species such as Spanish mackerel, giant trevally, queenfish, northern bluefin tuna and some anglers have even been lucky enough to land small black marlin.

Winter is pelagic time out at the end and there is action aplenty on fly, jig or popper (top water).

The action also turns on at night when predators stay feeding on the surface for long periods of time.
